It used to be a factory, which until
it´s conversion in 1983 to the service sector, produced diet foods.
The town is crossed by two rivers in a
privileged natural environment. It is also a strategic starting point for discovering
the most characteristic spots of our beautiful region, Cantabria. (1)
23/11/2015 Welcome to our language Immersion
When we arrived in Entrambasaguas the people at the hostel
welcomed us with warm smiles. Then we took a group photo.
Next, we split the children into groups and ate lunch. For lunch we had
spaghetti, fish, salad and an orange. Mmmmm....tasty!
After lunch we got the groups ready for their room assignments. Once the
children received their room assignment they headed to the room and took their
suitcases with them.
Once they got to their room they brushed their teeth, took any medicine
they might need and their mobile phone to give to their monitor.
In the groups, the monitors explained the city game and how to earn
"Max OK!" dollars and then how to use the dollars to buy buildings.
At 5:00 PM everyone ate a sandwich and then they took a shower.
In the evening the kids prepare a theatre piece with their monitor. Then they were allowed to phone home. At 8 PM everyone sat down for dinner and afterwards the kids did a small workshop on prepositions.
At 9:50 PM we watched a vocabulary video and we read and memorised the words.
At 10:00 PM BED TIME since it is the first night, the kids are very excited, anxious and full of energy.
